Wir haben gestern Abend einen herrlich unbeschwerten Abend verbracht und die Theateraufführung sehr genossen. Die Inszenierung von Shakespeare ist wirklich gelungen und was für ein großartiges Engagement der Schauspieler, dazu die herrlichen Kostüme!!! Wir freuen uns schon auf die Aufführung im kommenden Jahr.

Dear „Duet“

There was no doubt your new production would come up to my expectations – and it definitely did! Being one of Shakespeare’s most entertaining plays, “The Winter’s Tale” was an excellent choice. And the company did their lot to entertain the audience perfectly. Though the language contained some notable traces of old English, it took no effort to follow the plot – not least thanks to your perfectly composed synopsis.

Hi Uli, Nicole et al,
Congratulations to the two directors and the whole cast for another memorable performance by DUET. Shakespeare is always a challenge to stage, especially to an audience of mainly non-native speakers, but I enjoyed it a lot. I remember seeing a performance of the play at Stratford-upon-Avon by the Royal Shakespeare Company and found it difficult to follow, partly because of the acoustics of the theatre, the remote seats we had been given and the intricate plot. Having the privilege of sitting in the front row yesterday certainly helped me to appreciate it more this time. It was a good idea to abridge the original text (well done, Uli, it was just the right length) and the dance interludes were very good (well done, Nicole as choreographer, as well as the brave solo dancer).

Thank you all for last night’s performance which I really enjoyed. Getting to grips with a really challenging play, the cast (as always with Duet), gave their all and pulled off the very difficult task of gliding between the courtly and rustic settings without missing a beat… minimal but effective set, costumes which distinguished the status and character (great hats!) good lighting and sound, the music and dance elements elevating everything… I hope you enjoy the performances tonight and tomorrow as much as last night.. the audiences definitely will.

Liebes Duet-Team! Das war wieder toll! Man merkt die Spielfreude der Leute. Mein persönlicher Favorit - schauspielerisch, gesanglich (für mich) herausragend: Dominik Sukic (Autolycus). Schöne Kostüme! Leider müssen wir an unserem Englisch noch etwas feilen.. Danke an alle für den Genuss! Herzlichst Gabi P.
